From 2 October 2025, the 12 month transition period for the updated NDIS support lists has ended. These new lists clearly show what you can and cannot pay for using your NDIS funding, making it easier to plan your supports with confidence.

The NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) has now separated supports into two categories:

• NDIS Supports – Items and services that can be paid for with your NDIS funding
• Non-NDIS Supports – Items and services that cannot be paid for with NDIS funding

During the past year, small mistakes, such as purchasing an unapproved item under $1,500, did not result in debts. However, starting 3 October 2025, the NDIA may request repayment if NDIS funds are used for items or services that are not approved.
